Seething Camp

Apologies that this is a couple of weeks late, however well done to all of the Scouts that attended this years Seething summer camp.

Seething is the leadership teams favourite event of the Scouting year- and it certainly lived up to expectations this time! After having to cancel last years due to the entire field being under 5 inches of water, this time we were treated to temperatures of upto 31 degrees, with hardly a cloud in sight!

Activities over the weekend included; flying, shooting, archery, work towards the fitness badge with the Young Leaders, games, a trip to the control tower mueseum and of course the main thing on a weekend as hot as that- a waterfight!

We also had the yearly campfire on Saturday night which was one of the best ones in a long while with everyone participating. Mixed within this we give our our yearly awards. Congratulations to this years recipiants:

– Air Scout Of The Year: Adam Callow

– The Gordon Stewart Trophy (Promising Young/Upcoming Scout): Harry Purvis

– Inpsection Trophy (Person with the most accumulated inspection points): Ben Gaines

– Troop Shooting Competition: Adam Callow

(The rest of the awards will be added here soon)

We have uploaded some pictures in an album on the ‘Photo’ menu above, so please have a browse.
